Start Your Own Club, Team or Society!

1. Fill in an Affiliation Form

Once your affiliation is correctly filled in and submitted you will have a Club/Society in principle.

However, it will be subject to final approval by the Executive Team.

For a Society discuss with your group and fill in out Affiliation agreement

For a sports teamĀ discuss with your group and fill in out SportsĀ Affiliation agreement

2. Create a Constitution

You will alsoĀ need to complete a constitution for your club or society.Ā This will be the rules by which your group operates. If you have enough potential members to do this at the same time then you can hand this in along with your affiliation form. However, if you need time to recruit members then this part can wait. Please note though, you will not be able to apply for funding until you have this in place.

This will also be subject to final approval by the Executive Team.

It is important that the officers of your club know and understand your constitution and the requirements it outlines.

3. Apply for Funding

All affiliated Clubs and Societies can access funds to help them carry events and activities, once submitted these need approved by either the Campus Council or the SRUCSA Executive.

For new club and societies, or groups with minimal organisation you can access funding for each event or activity you intend to undertake, simply submit this Ad-Hoc Funding Request FormĀ along with you affiliation form including details of the event or activity you are planning.

If your Club has been established for a while, if you meet the criteria you can apply for annual funding to receive all your funding for the year in one payment, to do this complete the annual funding request form.
