SRUCSA on the SRUC Podcast!

Damson (Central Co-President) and Jeroen (Student Community Coordinator) recently had the opportunity to be interviewed on the SRUC podcast!

This was a great opportunity to advertise the purpose, aims, and history of the students’ association, as well as discussing current projects we are working on to benefit students at SRUC.

Listen here: SRUC Podcast – SRUCSA

Some key moments:

  • The history of SRUCSA and how it was formed; from when the college was Scotland’s Agricultural College (SAC) and then following the merger of the campuses to form Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC).
  • Damson’s role within SRUCSA, her aims for the year, and how to get involved.
  • Jeroen’s role and take on why students’ associations matter, how we compare to a trade union, and the importance of student involvement.
  • How students, staff, alumni, and the wider community can be involved in SRUCSA’s projects.

Make sure to have a listen and get in touch if you have any questions!
