Winning For Students!
Taking part in sports is fun, but it's hard work too! And it can take up some time. That's why we're very happy that Winning Students 100 are helping athlete students to make it easier to combine top sport with top studying. Just before the festive break they popped by to give Barony student and top curler Alison a sport kit.
What's more, we've been supporting students to take part in various competitions. Our Equestrian Club took home gold medals with two teams competing against Strathclyde and Dundee University students.
King's Building student Ronald went to the BUCS Indoor Rowing Competition to compete against college and university students from all over the UK and became 3rd in the 1000m open and reached 5th place in the open 250m sprint against professionals.
We're also funding our Fife-a-Side Football Society (who have the best looking strips of the competition!) to take part in an Edinburgh competition.
Lastly, Santa and SRUCSA donated lots of badminton rackets to students in Barony who have started badminton sessions taking place every Monday.
