Speak Week!!!

Speak Week is at an end and we at SRUCSA want to thank all of the students who participated in handing in their feedback! The missioning around campuses was worth it, the students we spoke to offered so much invaluable feedback about their experiences and learning journey.

But how do we use this feedback you ask?

We take your opinions seriously. We read through each and every single individual response and incorporate them all into a report which then goes directly to senior management at SRUC. This feedback is used to feed into any direct changes to be made in the coming years. Students bringing up issues means that SRUC can use this feedback to try and remedy the situations before they become big issues. It also helps us to recognise when staff are doing an amazing job to support students!

Without having yet had a chance to bring all the feedback together, as we are still collecting this from each campus, reading through the feedback that is available we are finding positive key points to note. Some of our lecturing and support staff are receiving real positive recognition.

Our campuses are being recognised as a second home to many students, having helped many to tackle issues with self-isolation and anxieties. Our staff and external contacts through site visits and practical work are offering invaluable experiences.

We have also made a start on noting any issues arising and making sure that this will be communicated with the right staff and departments.

We want students to keep voicing their opinion, we want them to know that their voice matters and that verbalising their thoughts helps us to navigate how to move forward and work to support their learning and support experiences on campus.
